As the feteing season for 2008 comes to a close the Soca2wins reminisce about the time they had this year!
From watching, ‘Road March Queen’ Fayann Lyons surf the crowd at Soca Monach, jumping on the road with the Tribe family, all night all day at Insomnia in Trinidad.
The amazing time in Trinidad was closely followed by the second annual [treat] which is Machel Montano HD at Madison Square Garden The biggest concert arena in NYC – Soca in New York City! Soca in Madison Square Garden!
Fayann Lyons and ‘Soca Monach’ Bunji Garlin touched base at 'The Base' Brooklyn.
The Winter rolled into Summer and with it came Washington DC Carnival. The soca2wins were on the road playing mas with Ice Carnival Group causing a stir with their “eyes wide shut” Island masks!
They were out again with thousands of Soca fans for Machel Montano HD at Six Flags Great Adventure ready to ‘rep’ their Island with “eyes wide shut” in their Island Masks.
Soca2wins were in London for Notting Hill carnival – the Biggest parade in Europe, they played Mas with Genesis Mas Band, the costumes and soca2wins body paint were amazing!! - this year the adults WON FIRST PLACE in the medium band section and the Children came third in the competition!
The soca2wins are now gearing up for the last lap at Miami Carnival, the perfect end to a perfect season. They will be on the road with China Mas Group, with their masks and body paints ready to have a time!
